Affectionately known as “Joaca”, this beach has a rich surfing history, hosting national and international championships since the 1970s. When is the WSL CT event in Brazil in 2024?
The 2024 CT will include nine regular season events in seven countries and the Brazilian stage will take place in Saquarema.
In June, the Brazilian round of the Championship Tour will take place on Itaúna beach. On the days of the event, the city, which is known as the national surfing capital, is packed with more than 40,000 fans of the sport.
